How do I move and what movements can my body make? In which alternative ways can I move? What do I perceive from the space around me? (…) Starting with simple games based on the five senses, children activate their kinesthetic perception and express themselves physically and verbally. Additionally, improvisational movement games activate the body and its connection with others, creating individual or collective experiences. Getting familiar with various musical and sound stimuli, everyday materials, repetition of movements, and mobilization of sight, smell, taste, and touch helps children strengthen their memory, imagination, expression, and collaboration skills. Younger children (up to 2 years) are offered simplified activities of breathing, movement, release, relaxation, and sound, stimulating the cultivation of expressiveness and communication.
The workshop is taking place every two weeks at Evgenia Asimakou nursery school, in Kalamata during the school years 2023-’24 & 2024-’25.
